Write Task 2 in Ielts Academic Writing

Writing task for IELTS is, by all means, an exhausting task. You have to be natural, genuine and impressive at the same time. And trust me when I say this, keeping these three in one place won’t be an easy task for you.

The Hassles-

1. Firstly, you have to follow the word limit of 250 only. Well, at least 250.You can go up to 300.

2. And then comes the snake, the time turner. You get 40 minutes to do all that! Just 40 minutes to create the magic. But if you are smart enough, you’ll know how to do that!

And another thing! in the IELTS writing task, You’ll be asked to answer in 7 possible ways: Agree or disagree, Benefits or disadvantages, two questions or views and much more.

So, let’s get started being smart!

Mind Games:

Now the real work starts with reading the topic you’ve been given and making sense out of it. Understand it and attach meaning to different thoughts that come to your mind when you read it initially. To take an example, suppose we have:

If you could travel to 3 countries, where would you go and what would you do?

For this you need to know where you would go, the reason for visiting, places in each country and much more and that to be exact.

Frame the Game-

The Introduction: Here in the IELTS writing task, the introduction of the paragraph has to be precise, cool and composed. It should show the main idea of what the essay’s going to be about.

2. Ist Body Paragraph: Now, we can write more about the topic that’s given to us. More thoughts, Detailing.

3. 2nd Body Paragraph: Continue IELTS writing task with the same zeal. Be done with all the information.

4. Conclusion Paragraph: Pour the final thoughts in a sentence or two, to sum up and it’s done!

So, this is how the final IELTS writing task will look like:

“Travelling leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller”, someone said once. And he said it right. Travelling is one’s journey to his soul. It’s about making us happy and fulfilled and it’s even better when we are traveling to the dream destination you have always wanted to. I have always wanted to go to Italy, Greece and India. I have heard so much about them, explored them on the internet, googled their beauties and it has left me dazzled.

First, I would go to Greece and visit the beautiful and mesmerizing Greek Islands and seep in their beauty, then there would be Athens, the perfect blend of tradition and eliteness. Greek can haunt you forever with its charming corners and sparkly streetlights.

“When in Rome, do as the Romans do”, another wise man said.Yes, we are talking about the stunning and exquisite Italy.Italy has the ability to greet you with suspense and then open its petals gently to your touch.Rome beautifies everything, including you. Venice would take you back in time and you will be rowing peacefully with delight.

India will have you by breath. You will be feeling so many sensations that you won’t be able to recollect. It will take some time.I will surely enjoy the tea at the yukatas, indulge myself into the yummy aloo paranthas, hear the stories of Laila- majnu, heer- ranjha a from the wide-eyed data and dates. I will

just stand and gaze at If you could travel to 3 countries, where would you go and what would you do? Famous Karaoke in Goa.

Travelling is happiness. It’s passion. It’s everything we can ever wish for when we still have life thriving in us. It’s a feeling of listening to your heart beat when you are skating amidst deep snow, river rafting high tides.
