Many parents face the daily challenge of getting their children ready for school, trust me even I use to had so much of trouble while my kids were in school. Lately I started doing few things that had helped me in prevent those stressful mornings; so here are those 5 tips that I used to follow and I am sharing them with all of you so that you too could use these easy tips to get your child ready for school on time.
1. Establish a bed time routine
Have a set time your child gives to bed and wakes up. Now you need to ensure your child is getting enough sleep as pupils in pre-primary needs around 12 hours of sleep and pupils in primary school need anywhere between 10 to 11 hours of sleep. So if you have a 3 year old child and they need to be awake by 7 am, they should be in bed by 7 pm.
2. Use a Hanging shelf
Well I am sure, many of you must be confused over this hanging shelf Idea but let me explain you the logic behind this. The hanging shelf will help you get the urgent things done prior to the start. Before the week begins put a week’s worth of school uniform. Each shelf is designated for a day in the week. Check the school diary, so you know which day is PE and place their sports uniform in the appropriate shelf. This will save time in the morning and avoid any hassles. For reference, You can check the image below- I’am sure it’s gonna help you.
3. Have a Food plan
You know for a fact that kids love food that looks appealing to them and To make it quickly you need to know in advance exactly what you’re going to make for breakfast and pack for school lunch, creating a breakfast and lunch menu works well. If you want to be more efficient in the kitchen, there are plenty of ideas, helpful tips and articles online.
4. Remove all Distractions
Make sure the TV is off and there are no toys around to prevent your child from being distracted, especially during breakfast.
5. School bag should be packed night before
Have your child pack his school bag and leave it by the front door night before. It will be one less thing for them to do in the morning and it’s a great way to teach them to be responsible and organized. If you feel, it will save even more time, have your child leave school shoes by the front door also, it’s funny how school shoes always go missing in the morning.
So there you have it parents, if you follow these tips, your child will be up, dressed, fed, and out the door on time every day. By the way- the 2nd tip is my favorite.
